Under new Oklahoma law, Oklahomans are required to carry their annual certificates of registration in their cars at all times. This is issued at the time of initial registration and annually when the vehicle registration is renewed. If you have misplaced your registration, officials with the Oklahoma Tax Commission stated that individuals can go to a tag agency or the tax commission to purchase a new certificate of registration for $1. Additionally, you can now obtain one online for free by going to OkCars and select “Duplicate Registration Order” under the “Other” heading.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Last four characters of VIN, HIN or serial number
- Street address number
- And one of the following:
- Current primary license plate number
